Are you curious as to where other people are traveling to? Do you care about where the current most popular destinations are? As a travel agent I like to follow the trends so that I am aware of where my clients may want to travel to. But before I started my career in travel I researched travel trends hoping to avoid the crowds and potentially the higher cost of travel.

2024 Domestic travel destinations that made the list

According to Forbes Magazine:

Seattle,Washington- I agree completely this is one of my favorite cities to visit. City life and outdoor adventures.

Las Vegas, Nevada- Quite honestly I am amazed at how often Las Vegas makes the favorite travel list, especially in summer. My goodness its hot! But if you are there to gamble, the shows and dining you really don’t have to leave the AC. Although I would add a helicopter ride to Hoover Dam.

Orlando, Florida-I totally get this one, although can you imagine the crowds in summer?! When my son was young we spent many a day at Disney World and Universal Studios.

Honolulu, Hawaii-I am so happy to see this on the list. My friends are always surprised when I say how much I love Honolulu-they feel its too crowded too commercial but I love it. The people the water the restaurants and the shopping. And I take a taxi from the airport and don’t get in a car until I leave.

New York, New York- Of course! In my opinion New York is a great destination at any time of year. Thanksgiving and Christmas time are my favorite times to visit but you can’t go wrong in summer too. Dining, Broadway, shopping, dining:)

The crazy thing about this list is that there is nothing new-these cities have been popular off and on for years. And that is exactly why I feel they are a must travel to destination at some point in your life. Add New Orleans, Nashville, Austin, Denver and Chicago too.

2024 European Travel Destinations for Americans

London, always a favorite. So many famous landmarks-Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, National Gallery, Westminster Abbey

Paris, are you attending the 2024 Summer Olympics? If not, stay away from Paris-always a busy city for tourists but with the Olympics there it will be absolutely jam packed with tourists.

Barcelona-I will be heading there in September. Let me know if you would like to meet me there. Sagrada Familia, Montserrat Monastery, beaches and the food!
